"Live life humbly, with love and compassion."
Hey guys! My name is Michelle, and I’m a reiki practitioner, crystal healer, and tarot reader. Steve Jobs once said, “You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something—your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever.” My story is just that.
My mom hails from Bali, the islands of the Gods and one of the most spiritual places in the world. My first encounter with spirits was ironically in Disney World. I started hearing voices, and it freaked me out. Shortly after, I was prescribed antidepressants. Growing up in Boston and completing my bachelor’s at NYU Stern School of Business, I was determined to make a lot of money and be as successful as I possibly could be.
At 22, I started my own food and beverage company, and within the next two years, I opened over 18 restaurants. Before turning 25, I owned over 25 restaurants and an international fashion line. Right before turning 30, I surrendered my shares and quit because of one incident (which was not even related to work).
My life fell apart instantly, and depression and anxiety came back knocking, loud and clear. Before I knew it, I was in rehab in Thailand. One Saturday, Kay Kay, a Buddhist monk, came to the facility to talk about “mindfulness.” His bright, happy face melted my heart. How could someone who had no money and had to beg for food every day be so happy? I was so desperate for happiness I was ready to be a nun, but I couldn’t, since I was married.
So after rehab, I began studying meditation, and my depression and anxiety faded away. I learned to look inwards instead of outwards. One day the owner of the meditation facility, told me that my life’s purpose was spiritual and encouraged me to learn reiki. And learn I did.
Being my curious self, I tested what I learned at Reiki 1 and started healing people by removing their energy blockages, and I witnessed miracles.
A month later, I landed up in Singapore, where I met Lyndia Wolfe, a famous psychic. It was she who told me I was clairvoyant, and that is the point when everything changed.
I began to connect the dots.
So going back to the Steve Jobs’ quote, at the age of 30, my education in life expired, and I was guided to follow my life’s purpose—to help and heal others.
I love what I do, and it fulfills my soul in more ways than I thought possible. So I thank you all, my mentors, my clients, and my family, for being part of this journey.
